| If you have ever needed to to modify
a device that still uses PS2 over to a USB interface
- this is for you. You can go out and buy adapters for
this purpose. This is either to save money by the cables
you have laying around or this is for those special
projects that needs the attention of hand wiring.
Here is the
pin-outs for peripherals. The key code is universal
for all following images - with the exception of the
colors.

Just knowing
these configurations there are a lot of possibilities.

First I cut
off the old PS/2 connection and stripped both wires
ready to be soldered.

I will not switch
the positives and negatives for this, due to the fact
the "switch" will happen at the USB end and
PC. The PS/2 cable was color coordinated the same as
the USB cable for the power. Black
for ground, red for power.
However the two data cables where different colors.
USB: Green +Data,
White -Data. PS/2:
Brown+Data, Yellow
-Data. The chart above helped with the conversion.
However most the time color should be the same for the
cables, don't always rely on the colors.

Done.

This
type of mod only seems to work for about half the people
who have tried. This is due to older devices not having
the correct data controller within. You mod
at your own risk.
